On February 16, President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (Artsakh Republic) Bako Sahakyan met in Yerevan OSCE Chairman-in-office, State Secretary, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabaev.
Issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakhi conflict were discussed during the meeting.
Highly appreciating the OSCE efforts in the Azerbaijani-Karabahki conflict settlement, the NKR President underlined the necessity of restoring the negotiation format approved by the OSCE Budapest summit. He noted that it would be impossible to reach the comprehensive settlement of the conflict without Nagorno Karabakh Republic’s direct participation. Bako Sahakyan once again expressed conviction that the conflict should be settled exclusively by peaceful means, and that Azerbaijan’s destructive stance is among the main obstacles in this process.
The President of the Artsakh Republic noted the importance of visiting Artsakh and acquainting with the country in place by the OSCE chairman-in-office.
NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan took part in the meeting.
